…From this day forward, may a new song be heard.
Let that new song be the sound of children laughing.
Let that new song be the sound of children playing.
Let that new song be the sound of children singing.
And let that new song be the sound of parents listening.
Together, let us create a symphony of hearts, marvelling at the miracle of our children and basking in the beauty of love.
Let us heal the world and blight its pain.
And may we all make beautiful music together.
God bless you, and I love you

    image MichaelDearest Michael,

You entered the grand theater of life giving out your extraordinary talents and you captivated us with an ultimate composition: your life!  You played the high and low notes of life in humility and gentleness. In solitude, you painfully accepted criticism and harsh judgement about your personal and private life.

A great deal has been said about you. The “perception” of your bad and ugly side  has been magnified overshadowing your good side. If you enter this world knowing you are loved…

I grew up with your music ever since you were a part of the Jackson Five.  It uplifted and inspired me. You helped me transport the magic of your rhythm and movements to my patients at Elsie Gaches, sharing awes and happiness as we sung and danced to your beat. Your songs empowered and challenged them to be more creative in many ways.

Your childlike trust to believe that peace and unity is possible through change was repeatedly echoed in your songs like “Heal the world”, “We are the world”, “Man in the Mirror”, “Beat it”, “The Love You Save” et cetera, calling out for a commitment of “symphony of hearts.”

Your friendship was expressed explicitly both in life and your songs: “I’ll be there”, “You are not alone”, “Ben”, “One day in your life”, “Black or white”, and so on. Your relationship with your friends like Diana Ross, Elizabeth Taylor, Stevie Wonder, Mark Lester, Brooke Shields and many others endured through the test of time without questions of age, gender, racial differences and human frailties.

You taught us that it is not enough to have the gift of talent. It is necessary to develop it with continuous practice and give it fully to your audience even if you were in pain: physically and emotionally.

Thank you for the musicYou held nothing back when center-stage. Each performance was your only performance, the last one. Perhaps to some people you were just an entertainer but you were not. You traveled from soul to soul. Touching lives. Touching hearts.

You danced and we moved. You sang and our vocal chords vibrated. You were one soul expressing for many bodies.

Thank you Michael for defining a beat to which we can dance in our lives, for showing us a man enduring the impossible heights of stardom though experiencing the boundless blows of a misunderstood individual. Forgive us when we failed to be with you in your darkest hours when you constantly reminded us that we are not alone.

Thank you for showing us that love can transcend every age, gender, race or territory. Thank you for being Peter Pan in your heart, for loving simple things and daring to dream and flying high to reach to them.

To the end, you remained a showman, laying bare your heart, your soul and body for us to revel or even to revile in. Forgive us for owning you, that you should cater to our whims.  Forgetting that you were human like us, that you can falter and fall because we humans, are vulnerable.

Thank you for being you, for contributing to such an incredible part of the mystery, imagination, music and magic in our lives.

Thank you for touching my soul,

    Ross

P.S. You once said in your speech at Oxford way back in 2001…

I pray that my children will give me the benefit of the doubt. That they will say to themselves: “Our daddy did the best he could, given the unique circumstances that he faced. He may not have been perfect, but he was a warm and decent man, who tried to give us all the love in the world…

I hope that they will always focus on the positive things, on the sacrifices I willingly made for them, and not criticise the things they had to give up, or the errors I’ve made, and will certainly continue to make, in raising them. For we have all been someone’s child, and we know that despite the very best of plans and efforts, mistakes will always occur. That’s just being human. “

Michael, I want to assure you: your children believe that you have been “the best father one can ever imagine”. Paris Katherine, your beautiful daughter, testified it through tears before the whole world. She continued, “And I just want to say I love him so much.”

    Ditto.

Pain was your constant companion from your childhood days until the last minute of your adult life.  You are “Home” now where you will be deservingly blessed with immense happiness by the Giver of Gifts who gave you that very special talent which you unselfishly gave us.

May your wish of a new song be heard: the joyful sound of  children for they are the future of this seemingly “cold” and “materialistic” world.

    Bravissimo Michael!

    Despite of…

    Michael Jackson’s Quotes

If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.
A professor may degrade you, but you will not feel degraded, a boss may crush you, but you will not be crushed, a corporate gladiator might vanquish you, but you will still triumph. How could any of them truly prevail in pulling you down? For you know that you are an object worthy of love. The rest is just packaging.”

I was comforted by the belief that God exists in my heart and in music and in beauty, not only in a building,”

In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. In a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.”

If a man could say nothing against a character but what he can prove, his story could not be written. Animals strike not from malice, but because they want to live, it is the same with those who criticize, they desire our blood, not our pain. But still I must achieve. I must seek truth in all things. I must endure for the power I was sent forth, for the world, for the children. but have mercy for I’ve been bleeding for a long time now.”

    There’s a Mother’s Day and there’s a Father’s Day, but there’s no Children’s Day. It would mean a lot. World peace.

Love, ladies and gentlemen, is the human family’s most precious legacy, its richest bequest, its golden inheritance. And it is a treasure that is handed down from one generation to another. Previous ages may not have had the wealth we enjoy. Their houses may have lacked electricity, and they squeezed their many kids into small homes without central heating. But those homes had no darkness, nor were they cold. They were lit bright with the glow of love and they were warmed snugly by the very heat of the human heart. Parents, undistracted by the lust for luxury and status, accorded their children primacy in their lives.”

I believe in wishes and in a person’s ability to make a wish come true, I really do. And a wish is more than a wish… it’s a goal that your conscience and sub-conscience can help make reality.”

You can always dream, and your dreams will come true, but you have to make them come true.”

Let us dream of tomorrow where we can truly love from the soul, and know love as the ultimate truth at the heart of all creation.”

    Be God’s glow”

Children show me in their playful smiles the divine in everyone. This simple goodness shines straight from their hearts and only asks to be lived.”

I used to dream. I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don’t know where we are.”

We are Christians, Jewish, Muslim and Hindu, we are black, we are white, we are a community of some many differences, so complex and yet so simple. We do not need to have war.”

In the end, the most important thing is to be true to yourself and those you love and work hard. Work like there’s no tomorrow. Train. Strive. Really train and cultivate your talent to the highest degree. Be the best at what you do. Get to know more about your field than anybody alive. Use the tools of your trade, if it’s books or a floor to dance on or a body of water to swim in. Whatever it is, it’s yours. That’s what I’ve always tried to remember.”

I’m a visionary and a creative person. God blessed me with certain talents. I hate to use an analogy, but Walt Disney was creative but not good with business. His brother Roy handled the books. He loved creating family-oriented entertainment and so do I. I feel that was a gift and I have that gift also. I’m very honored to have been chosen.”

My life is very complicated. I have a lot of things going on. I am juggling a lot of responsibilities. There is so much going on that it is astounding, it really is.”
